Don't know if any of you enjoyed earlier version of the Battlefield series. The original BF 1942 was awesome. Here is an announcement for an upcoming version this summer which looks sweet. check out the trailer: http://www.battlefield1943.com/Quote: Using the acclaimed Frostbite engine, Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII to re-experience some of the legendary battles that kicked off the Battlefield franchise. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Delivering the award-winning through-the-gun and vehicle warfare online experience DICE is best recognized for, Battlefield 1943 will have players battling in ruthless aerial dog fights and intense trench combat.
Genre: Online Shooter Online Play: 24 Versus Also Available On: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 Release Date: June 30, 2009 This series is not like traditional quake style shooter that heavily penalizes those without leet skilz ... lots of laughs.

Yes! A thousand times yes! Any game that allows me to take flight is an A+ in my book. I will barrel roll over you and shoot you with my pistol given the opportunity.

One of my favorites. At work, we would set up 3 computers as a lan and play during lunch, or on a slow day.

I would gladly pick this up as I have been FPS starved for several months now.
Can't wait.

I'm concerned it's multiplayer and only 3 maps.
Game better be only $20.
