I thought I remember someone posting about being a fan of Warhammer: Dawn of War series but cannot locate the post.
Was anyone out there a DoW fan and looking forward to DoW2?

I wasn't so much a fan of DoW though it was ok. It's following more along the lines of Company of Heroes however which rocked so I'll be getting DoW2,

Never played the original, but I have been following DoW 2 the past few months. Looking forward to release.

Dawn of War 2 = WTF
I can't define this as an RTS. This game blows.

I expected a dawn of war original. Building a base, and amassing an army (instead of controlling 4 seperate squads with 3 soldiers). The game looks amazing on high settings and runs smooth, however, there won't be in replay value to it at all. As far as the multiplayer, I'd rather play DoW 1 online.

Just beat the campaign on normal diff. The campaign setup is more like an rpg than an rts and personally I love it. Your guys actually level up and you spend points to customize them, plus get gear upgrades to boot. I had enough fun with it I immediately restarted the campaign on the highest diff.
Multiplayer vs. games you go back to the more traditional rts setup. You have a base building, and need to bring in resources. However you only have one building for your base so there's not as much to micromanage back there and it let's you focus on your units more and base less compared to most rts games.
Other than using the same graphics the 2 aspects of the game are so different it's almost like getting 2 games for the price of one.

Love the replayability of DoW. I have installed II but not fired it up yet.
Space Marines ftw.
